Pakistani Students Association at the University of Texas at Austin was formed on September 14, 1981.

The purpose of PSA is to bring together all the students on and around the campus of the University of Texas at Austin regardless of race, religion, ethnicity and color. We aim to not only make friends but to bring about awareness of our beautiful country PAKISTAN and brilliant culture throughout the campus and its students through the experience and celebration of Pakistani cultural events.

Every semester we hold many exciting social events to bring our community closer, together and of course, to have fun! Ranging from sehri and iftari socials during Ramadan to the crazy pitthoo in front of the main mall. Be it picnics with barbeque on lakeside to game night with carom board, luddo, mafia and poker indoors. Yes, we have something or the other to offer to both the ABCDs and the FOBs. That is not all we do, PSA also puts on events like Qawalli, Eid Banquet and last but not the least, the biggest event of the spring semester BASANT. Basant puts PSA on the map and allows a fusion of East and West. It creates a social fabric to connect people from different walks of life.

So whether you have grown up eating Phajay key Sirrie Paye from Lahore or Sabri Ki Nihaari from Karachi or fish fillets at the local McDonalds, we all come together with nothing but love for our pyaara Pakistan.
